dry red wine

I have a recipe for "Baked Chickpeas Provencale" that sounds simply exquisite; however, it calls for dry red wine. I am not of age to obtain alcohol, nor would either of my parents allow me to use it in the recipe. Does anyone know of any suitable substitutions that would not alter the outcome of the recipe, or is this just wishful thinking on my part? Thank you in advance!
